Working Empire – Damn You!

I am pointing out the work of Working Empire

This is the type of work that makes you realize how simple great design is and how far you have to go as a designer (ok maybe this is just speaking for myself) and how all you want to do is spend time experimenting.

There is literally no info about Working Empire on the site – it looks like it is the work of one guy – his client list is a good mix of corporate and independent clients and his experimental work is fantastic.

Future Lacoste – Great or Waste?

This site is obviously a sucess in terms of beautiful concept – but is it so much introspection rather then an innovative look into the future of tennis or the company – I am all for “eye candy” but this seemed to me a little shallow

I am sure you are aware of Scott Hansen – or iso50.com or Tyco Music – I have been checking daily for his commissioned poster for the Obama Campaign….. it uses many of his themes and styles.

While I like it – I was expecting the perfect storm – my Candidate of choice and my designer of choice.

Biomachina – João Oliveira

Welcome to biomachina.net the digital playground of João Oliveira, a young design student and illustrator from Porto, Portugal. Started working with graphics in late 2006 and continuously expands his skills by experimenting new techniques in the various fields of design, evolving at a fast rate.

The scrolling portfolio is nothing new but his work is fresh and diverse – he is someone to watch!
